For Future Electronics, as the world’s number 1 global distributor, Electronica is without doubt the most important event in the organisation’s schedule – a vital stage for fostering connections with customers and suppliers at the highest level. For 2024, Electronica celebrated its 30th event across 60 years – a milestone that called for Future Electronics’ most ambitious presence to date, crafted to perfection by Cook + Associates.
A Design Built for Success
Marketing & Communications Director, Mark Britton, summed up the objectives for this year, explaining that such an important global show provides a unique opportunity to meet with customers’ and suppliers’ senior management in a very intimate and professional way.
With over 1000 pre-planned meetings scheduled during the 4 days, the stand needed to run like clockwork across every inch of the impressive 660 sq metre double-decker booth. Equipped with no less than 10 conference rooms, 18 other bookable spaces, 2 lounges, and 2 bars- all served by 2 commercial kitchens – the space was designed to feel like a chic boutique hotel, blending professionalism with a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that every detail worked towards creating the ideal environment for high-stakes discussions and relationship building.
Welcoming and spacious, the design seamlessly combined high-impact visuals with a practical layout, enabling the Future Electronics team to perform at their peak.
Collaboration and Execution
The relationship between client and the C+A team is central to the successful delivery of a project on this scale. Spearheaded by Ian Cragg, it was a project management tour de force, Cook + Associates deployed a team of some 30 skilled workers to bring the vision to life. Every detail, from the initial concepts to the final build, was approached with a dedication to upholding Future Electronics’ expectations and achieving a flawless result.
For Mark, the execution of this year’s brief has once again been exceptional, from his first visit to the stand in construction to the show’s close. On working with the C+A team and project lead Ian Cragg, he commented “It’s been an absolute pleasure – you always listen to what is required… The thing that really sets Cook + Associates more than anyone that I have ever worked with is the on-stand presence during the show. The fact that you are here, all the time – so that any problem no matter how big or small, you are here to deal with. And again, it just helps me what I need to deliver throughout the week.”
